Real Life Story

Yeah, So I'm Different.

In this world, where there are so many different types of people and creatures, some people still get treated cruelly. When we were made, we were all supposed to be made equally. Yet some people think they are so much better than us.

I am a girl who has no hair at all. I have a disease called alopecia areata. It is an autoimmune disease that causes your hair follicles to believe that your hair is a bad thing. So it fights it off. I have a very big influence on many people because I just deal with it. If I go to stores or anywhere else and I see people staring or pointing and even laughing, I mostly try to ignore it. But sometime it just hurts really bad to know that people see me differently from themselves. Sometimes people are very rude about it. They think that I have shaved my hair off and that I can just grow it back whenever I want to, but I can't. I am very healthy, but people just don't understand that. They always see me as different, but I'm not. It is hard to try to fit into this world.

Seeing people as different is not a choice you make, it is a life you take. Just as you cannot choose to look or be different, it is just who you are. It is just the way you are made.
